What is the IEI Family?

At IEI, we believe real change starts with meaningful conversations. When leaders come together in a trusted space, ideas flow, challenges are met with collaboration, and solutions emerge that truly make a difference for students and families.

Our members often describe IEI as more than a network, it feels like family. It’s a place where you’re welcomed as you are, where support is genuine, and where the relationships you build go far beyond a single event. Together, we celebrate wins, navigate challenges, and share the work that’s moving education forward.

Being part of the IEI family means knowing you’re not alone in the work. That you have a community beside you, invested in helping every student succeed.

What makes IEI different?

IEI is an invitation-only community of district leaders and partners who share a commitment to helping students thrive in school and in life. What makes IEI different is the family we’ve built. Our members describe IEI as a trusted space where leaders can have open, honest conversations, problem-solve together, and form relationships that last well beyond our events.

A Different Kind of Summit
Unlike traditional conferences, IEI Summits are not about selling. We guide our partners to focus on building relationships and collaborating with districts, so conversations are centered on real challenges and solutions rather than transactions. This creates an environment where superintendents and partners work side by side to explore ideas that have a lasting impact.

Belonging, Collaboration, and Connection
Being part of IEI means finding more than a professional network. Members often say they’ve found a true sense of belonging, a community where connections grow into collaboration, and where support for one another is genuine. That family feel is what sets IEI apart from other superintendent organizations.

IEI on the Road
Our work doesn’t stop at summits. Members also have the opportunity to host IEI Roadshow visits in their districts, creating chances to highlight the incredible work happening in schools, strengthen relationships locally, and share those stories more broadly through IEI’s social media channels when available. It’s another way IEI helps members shine, while deepening the sense of community that makes our network so special.
